This individual will be responsible for developing, managing, and supporting the implementation of comprehensive safety programs that ensure the well-being of everyone on our projects and in our workplaces. The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of construction safety, a strong understanding of regulatory compliance, and a proven ability to foster a culture of safety through active leadership and engagement at all levels of the organization.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Administer, manage, communicate, and update the company's safety program, processes and manual.Monitor and evaluate federal, state, and local regulations for impact on the company and daily operations.Collaborate with project managers, supervisors, and subcontractors to integrate safety into all aspects of construction activities.Serves as a consultant to associates at all levels in the field and office regarding technical and organizational aspects of safety.Conduct jobsite and work area audits.Attends planning, pre-job and project meetings to ensure safety concerns are being addressed and resolved.Assist in identifying safety training and educational needs and coordinate their development, and delivery.Participate with RLG's safety committee.SKILLS:Possess a growth mindset.Excellent leadership, organization and communication skills.Ability to interact effectively among multiple layers of the organization, including subcontractors and clients.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to identify existing and potential hazards and risks in construction environments and develop strategies to mitigate them.Experience in conducting thorough investigations of incidents and near-misses.Proficiency in maintaining accurate records of safety incidents, training sessions, inspections, and corrective actions.Quick and effective decision-making skills in high-pressure situations, coupled with the ability to solve safety-related issues as they arise on construction sites.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.Self-motivated, disciplined and the ability to work independently.Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.Excellent leadership, organization and communication skills.Able to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously and meet deadlines.Strong and relevant computer skills.Able to prioritize, pivot and respond quickly to requests of customers, project managers and superintendents.Strong sense of curiosity with excellent listening skills.Able to lead difficult conversations.EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Safety Management, Construction Management, or related field preferred.3-5 years of experience working in the commercial construction industry with safety experience with the proven ability to identify workable solutions to eliminate hazards.Relevant safety certifications (e.g., OSHA certifications, CSP) preferred.In-depth understanding of construction procedures and processes.Lehman Daman Construction Services, Inc. is an EEO Employer Interested candidates should apply online at /careers
