Learn more aboutOHUS at .We are currently seeking an HR Generalist to join the team. The HR Generalist will serve as a primary HR partner, managing core HR functions across the employee lifecycle and supporting recruitment, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, compliance, and HR-related initiatives. This role will also serve as the company's main payroll administrator. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional who has built a solid foundation in multiple HR disciplines, enjoys problem-solving, and is passionate about supporting employee success.ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIESAct as the primary HR contact for employee questions related to HR policies, benefits, payroll, and general inquiries.Serve as a trusted advisor for management with employee-related matters, including, but not limited to: performance, misconduct, harassment, wage & hour concerns, leaves of absence, injuries, onboarding, terminations, attendance, investigations, and disciplinary actions.Process biweekly payroll as the main payroll administrator utilizing ADP TotalSource. This will entail including but not limited to calculating employee pay, managing deductions, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, reviewing electronic time clock for completeness and accuracy, checking the number of meal and rest premiums, and preparing and inputting payroll data such as garnishments, vacation, sick, holiday, insurance and 401(k) deductions.Ensure 100% compliance with federal/state laws (FLSA, FMLA, CFRA, ADA, EEO, etc.) and maintain audit-ready personnel files.Maintain accurate HR records and manage data on HRIS to ensure all data is captured, processed, and communicated accuratelyManage full-cycle recruitment, including job requisitions, job postings, screening resumes, and sourcing and interviewing candidates, reference checks, background screenings, and offers.Lead new hire onboarding, including I-9 verification, orientation, and systems setup.Conduct investigations for concerns/claims/conflicts and support disciplinary processes with appropriate documentation.Conduct exit interviews and analyze turnover trends.Administer healthcare, 401(k), and leave programs, supporting new-hire enrollment, annual open enrollment process, and termination.Support the execution of cyclical HR initiative, such as performance review cycles, including goal setting, feedback sessions, and tracking improvement plans.Identify training needs and support developing training programs (compliance, leadership, skills-based).Support compensation analysis and salary benchmarking.Support career development and succession planning initiatives.Prepare monthly and ad-hoc HR reports (headcount, turnover, recruitment metrics) to guide decision making.POSITION REQUIREMENTSâ— Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field of study, or equivalent work experience.â— Minimum of 3 years of experience in HR, with exposure to recruitment, payroll, ER, and compliance.â— Experience of processing payroll as the main payroll administrator of the previous company.â— Experience with HRIS systems and HR technology platformsâ— Experience with providing ADA accommodations.â— Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations (FLSA, FMLA, CFRA, ADA, EEO, etc.)â— Knowledge of workers' compensation and leave administrationâ— Ability to build trust and strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.â— Ability to manage a high volume of employee relations matters, including investigations, disciplinary action, and involuntary termination with the utmost confidentialityâ— Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)â— Must be able to work on-site in our Gardena laboratory/office.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSâ— Professional HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent)â— Skilled at coaching and conducting employee/leadership trainingâ— Proficiency in various HRIS and ATS (Workday, BambooHR, ADP, etc.)â— Previous experience in recruitment and talent acquisitionâ— Project management experience with the ability to drive initiatives from conception to completion.â— Experience of 401k plan administration.â— Bilingual proficiency in English and Korean is preferred but not required.SCHEDULEâ— 8:30 AM to 5:00PMâ— 8 hour shift from Monday to FridayPERKS & BENEFITSâ— Health, Vision, Dental, and Life Insurance.â— 401(k) retirement savings plan with up to 4% matchingâ— Paid vacation and sick time-offâ— Paid holidaysâ— Flexible spending accountOpen Healthcare US. offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
