SUMMARY: This key leadership role provides strategic leadership and coaching to employees through a shared vision for the operation, driving continuous improvement in process reliability, product quality, and operating cost. In this role, you will utilize your experience and expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for yourself and others, and effect short-term and long-term operational goals. Below, you will find a complete breakdown of everything required of potential candidates, as well as how to apply Good luck.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Champion all EH&S efforts. Ensure that employee and product safety are the top priority. Drive a culture of Safety and Sustainability. Actively provide leadership relative to EH&S accountability with site leadership team.Broad responsibility and leadership for overall plant operations in a union environment. Lead the operational management team and functional staff including Quality, Finance, Continuous Improvement, Environmental Health & Safety, Human Resources, Supply Chain, Maintenance and Engineering.Work with corporate functional leads to ensure compliance with company standard policies and procedures.Control all associated operational costs according to prevailing annual operating plan.Ensure that the plant has proper staffing plans, and that team members have the resources, training, information, and support needed to perform duties safely and effectively achieve objectives.Develop, lead and coach teams for maximum engagement and participation to continuously achieve and exceed customer expectations.Develop, align, and maintain communications throughout the organization to achieve the business objectives.Create a healthy team culture by including diverse perspectives, giving recognition, and demonstrating transparency and empathy.Ensure the protection of company assets through appropriate maintenance methodologies.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's Degree in a science or engineering discipline preferred; advanced degree is a plus.Prior process industry manufacturing experience, papermaking experience preferred. 10+ years of experience leading manufacturing teams of more than 50 people with tangible results.Prior union experience preferred.Ability to operate at both a strategic and tactical level. Go and see on the shop floor bias.Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate while holding people accountable.Demonstrated track record in leading effective change in an organization, which delivers bottom line results.Ability to drive continuous improvement culture capable of challenging the status quo and conventional wisdom to help improve business. An assertive leader with a bias for action and an entrepreneurial orientation, with a willingness to move fast and inject velocity into everything we do. Strong problem solving, negotiating, and decision-making skills with the proven ability to manage complex situations.Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple priorities using effective problem solving and resolution skills and a team focus.Collaborative work style, able to partner with leaders of other functional areas and business partners to drive overall performance.Hollingsworth & Vose is an equal opportunity employer.
