Destination Sales & Services CoordinatorReports to: Director of Sales & Destination ServicesStatus: Full-Time | Salary Range: $45-50K | Traditional Office Hours | Occasional Evenings/WeekendsAre you ready to apply Make sure you understand all the responsibilities and tasks associated with this role before proceeding.Position SummaryThe Destination Sales & Services Coordinator plays a key role in promoting Cartersville Museum City as a premier destination for meetings, events, and group travel. This role supports the Director of Sales & Destination Services through administrative coordination, partner and planner communication, itinerary development, and project execution. The ideal candidate is community-minded, service-oriented, and eager to grow their career in the tourism and hospitality industry.Core ResponsibilitiesSales, Planning & Client SupportSupport the Director of Sales & Destination Services in daily operations and strategic initiatives.Serve as a liaison for meeting planners and group tour operators, providing assistance with communications, itinerary development, and on-site logistics.Curate custom itineraries and experiences tailored to the interests of visiting groups, leveraging strong knowledge of local assets.Respond to and manage Cvent leads, coordinating follow-up with tourism partners and clients.Assist with tradeshow planning, including logistics, materials preparation, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.Collaborate with the Clarence Brown Conference Center and Pine Acres Retreat teams to ensure exceptional service and seamless execution of events.Collaborate with Marketing & contribute to the preparation and distribution of quarterly newsletters and client-facing communications.Administrative & Content SupportMaintain and update the CRM database (IDSS experience is beneficial but not required).Manage the Partner Extranet to ensure destination and event content is accurate and current.Populate pre-designed Canva templates to create sales proposals and client materials.Professional & Education RequirementsBachelor's degree in a related field (tourism, hospitality, marketing, business) OR at least 2 years of relevant experience in the tourism/hospitality industry.Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and the full Microsoft Office Suite.Working knowledge of Canva for content creation and event materials.Desired Qualities & SkillsEnthusiastic and positive attitude with a genuine appreciation for the community.Strong knowledge of local attractions, venues, and tourism assets.Interest in learning and growing a long-term career in the tourism and destination marketing industry.Service-oriented mindset with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Highly organized, efficient, and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities.Ability to work independently on new projects with limited guidance.Proactive in identifying opportunities and offering creative, thoughtful solutions.Effective collaborator who partners with tourism colleagues, venue partners, and community stakeholders.Work Environment & Physical RequirementsPrimary work is performed in a traditional office setting (Monday-Friday), with regular visits to local partners, venues, and establishments as part of responsibilities.Occasional evening or weekend assignments required to support events, meetings, or site visits.Occasional in-town or regional driving for events or client support; valid driver's license required.Position may require light physical activity, including lifting boxes up to 40 pounds.Compensation & BenefitsWe offer a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your well-being and work-life balance.
