The Purchaser/Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for the purchasing of materials necessary to support the production process based in Tallahassee, Florida and field operations at depot locations. This position will actively manage the supplier base resolving material availability and quality issues. The position will also ensure proper inventory control processes and procedures are maintained at all locations. Any additional information you require for this job can be found in the below text Make sure to read thoroughly, then apply.RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:Processes and monitors purchase orders to ensure material availability to support productionEstablishes and maintains material safety stock levels in coordination with Production ManagerCommunicates weekly with suppliers to ensure delivery commitments and material quality standards are metMonitors supplier performance and ensures material quality standards are met, engaging directly with suppliers to remediate issues Negotiates supplier pricing and terms to achieve working capital reduction and cost savings targetsStreamline procurement process by consolidating supplier base across all sitesMaintain Supplier and Item Master record in the ERP system (NetSuite) Implement consistent inventory control procedures and best practices across all sitesCoordinate regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy at all sitesIdentify and resolve discrepancies between inventory records and physical countsCoordinate weekly transport of materials from production center to other sitesEDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field preferredMinimum of 5-years purchasing experience in a production environmentMust have prior MRP / ERP experience (NetSuite strongly preferred)CORE COMPETENCIES:Negotiating and critical thinking skillsAttention to detailAbility to understand specifications and to read and interpret contract documentsEffectively communicates with customers, vendors, and manufacturing personnelCommitment to team environment, safety, customer satisfaction, and quality control.Strong Microsoft Excel SkillsJob Type: Full-timeBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingCell phone reimbursementDental insuranceHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offProfessional development assistanceReferral programRelocation assistanceRetirement planVision insurancePIa408e3aafb36-36310-38654936
