Hunt trailers and other equipment.This position will pay between $21.59 and $33.61 per hour. Shift schedule is Wednesday-Saturday 7:30am-6:00pm.*Benefits:** Start accruing paid time off on your first day of work* Company-matched 401(k)* Medical, dental and vision benefits after 30 days of employment* Access to mental health benefits, parental leave, company discounts and more* Paid holiday time off* Onsite support and management team* Skill development and career growth opportunities through our Technician Career Advancement Program* Annual boot allowance*Key Responsibilities:** Demonstrate basic knowledge of preventative maintenance and standard repairs related to trailer equipment, including air brake systems and FHWA inspections* Accurately perform basic repairs up to company and manufacturer's specifications, complete work orders and demonstrate understanding of company requirements for standard repair times (SRT) and warranty guidelines* Understand and effectively follow all shop safety procedures* Maintain professional communication with J.B. Hunt personnel and customers* Accurately perform intermediate-level repairs to company and manufacturer's specifications, complete work orders, and demonstrate understanding of company requirements for standard repair times (SRT) and warranty guideline*Minimum Qualifications:** At least 18 years of age with 1 year of experience in semi-trailer maintenance and repair and/or training and/or military equivalent experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience* Able to supply your own basic tools, or purchase through our toolbox purchase program* Willingness to work outdoors in the elements* Able to work across multiple shifts, including nights and/or weekends if needed*Preferred Qualifications:** High School Diploma or GED equivalent with 1 year of experience in semi-trailer maintenance and repair, or equivalent combination of education and experience, or military equivalent* DOT certified in FHWA inspections and air brakes* Basic welding skills (MIG and stick )* Ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas through various mediums* Ability to manage multiple priorities* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team* Proficient computer skills and/or comfortable working with a computer, including Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, etc.)* Ability to use time and resources efficiently and effectively* Ability to fulfill physical requirements (lift/move appliance up to 50 pounds)* Ability to wear appropriate work attire (protective gear/PPE)*Compensation:*Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
