Machine Operator

Machine Operator The machine operator will be responsible for following all production policies and procedures to support the operation. This individual will work with all department heads to support companywide operating objectives and will report to the Production Supervisor.Please make an application promptly if you are a good match for this role due to high levels of interest.There are two types of machine operators :The Compounder will operate automated mixing machinery to prepare products for packaging.The Filler Operator will operate an automated packing machine to prepare products for shipping.Key Responsibilities:Follow all Safety, Allergen Controls, Food Safety & Sanitation, Food Defense, and SQF policies and procedures relating to job dutiesMaintain productivity metrics, and daily, and weekly goals for production.Daily Pre-Operations Safety ChecksOperate one line for production and lead the team assigned to line.Observes operation and speed of packing machine and adjusts when necessary.Clears jams and performs basic troubleshooting.Performs all quality inspections and completes forms.Responsible for maintaining work area clean and organized.Uses squeegee, brush, and broom to clean room for CIP and prepares machine.Other duties as assigned.Environment:Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) : Hair and beard net, gloves, safety shoes, bump cap, smocksChemical Exposure: Cleaning Supplies and Food AllergensTemperature: Refrigerated 67 degrees Fahrenheit.Qualifications:1 year of experience in food safety in a food manufacturing environment preferred1 yr of experience as a machine operator in a manufacturing environmentBasic math skillsBasic computer skillsIntermediate reading and writing skillsAbility to workday or evening shifts and weekends and holidays as needed.Ability to maintain a safe and positive work environment.Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs.Ability to bend twist, stoop, squat, and pivot.Ability to walk and stand for 8+ hour shifts$18.00-18.50/hr depending on shiftOT AvailableWork schedules available are:1st Shift Sunday-Thursday 4am-12:30pm1st Shift Tuesday-Saturday 4am-12:30pm2nd Shift Sunday-Thursday 12pm-8:30pm . 25 shift Differential3rd Shift Sunday- Thursday 8pm-4:30am .50 shift Differential3rd Shift Tuesday-Saturday 8pm-4:30am .50 shift DifferentialOntario, CA 91761Please send resumes to  mariavelasco@All employees of Elite Staffing must be 18 years or older and authorized to work in the United States.Elite Staffing, Inc. is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
