Job OverviewOn February 28, 2026, Village of Wisdom will host Black Genius â„¢ Fest "” a one-day, city-wide celebration transforming Durham's historic Black Wall Street into a vibrant landscape of music, food, performance, and immersive exhibits. From immersive environments to interactive installations, the Fabricator will transform designs into striking, multi-sensory experiences that embody the spirit of Black Geniusâ„¢ and align with the festival theme: "Architects of Our Dreams "” Past, Present, Future."Working closely with the BG Fest Designer, Exhibit Curator/Manager, and selected Exhibitors, the Fabricator will ensure all installations are safe, functional, mobile, durable, and accessible for a family-friendly festival.In addition to fabricating community-designed exhibits, the Fabricator will also build treatments for three of the six Black Geniusâ„¢ Worlds.
