Job Title: Shop ForemanLocation: Burlington, NJIndustry: Custom FabricationYou could be just the right applicant for this job Read all associated information and make sure to apply.Job Description Working under the supervision of the Executive Team, the full-time Shop Foreman is responsible for supervising and managing all custom fabrication projects. This role also oversees maintenance, organization of the shop, equipment, and scheduling.ResponsibilitiesManage master schedule, determining manpower, equipment, and working hoursCoordinate workflow between Project Management Team and production employeesMaintain production schedule, employee certifications, and shop equipmentSupervise and work directly with shop personnelReview work orders and adjust procedures to meet scheduled deadlinesAttend weekly Production Meetings with ManagementCoordinate material ordering with Purchasing ManagerHire, train, and motivate shop personnel; assess employee performanceReview and approve timecards; maintain time and production recordsMonitor production metrics and report progress to managementIdentify improvements to increase efficiency and overall manufacturing qualityAllocate crews, resources, equipment, and materials effectively for each projectAdjust staffing levels and overtime as needed to meet changing conditionsProvide technical input to Estimating, Project Management, and Engineering to optimize quality and costEnsure projects meet drawing specifications and company standards during all phases of productionTrain and monitor shop personnel in established safety proceduresEnhance safety performance through issue resolution and employee awarenessMaintain and improve organization across all shop areasRequirements5+ years of experience in custom fabrication, metalworking, or related manufacturing environmentPrevious supervisory or leadership experience in a shop or production settingStrong knowledge of fabrication methods, materials, and equipmentAbility to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specificationsExcellent organizational and scheduling skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at onceProficiency with production management systems, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office SuiteDemonstrated commitment to safety and compliance with OSHA standardsStrong interpersonal skills to coach, train, and mentor team membersPhysical ability to work in a shop environment, including lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for long periodsHigh school diploma or GED required; technical training or degree in manufacturing, engineering, or related field preferredAbout Theoris: Our goal is to Fuel Your Career!
