Service Technician

Purpose of Role: The Service Technician is responsible for the on-site installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of security, audio/visual, structured cabling, fire & life safety, and networking systems. This role ensures reliable, code-compliant, and high-quality solutions.Check below to see if you have what is needed for this opportunity, and if so, make an application asap.Key Responsibilities· Installation & Setup: Install and configure CCTV, access control, AV, fire alarms, and networking hardware.· Service & Troubleshooting: Respond to service calls, diagnose and repair issues.· Preventative Maintenance: Conduct inspections, test fire/life safety systems, update firmware/software.· Customer Interaction & Support: Communicate clearly, provide basic training, and maintain professionalism.· Safety & Compliance: Adhere to NEC, NFPA, BICSI, OSHA standards.· Documentation & Reporting: Complete service tickets, reports, and logs.· Tools, Equipment & Inventory: Maintain tools, report usage, and assist with inventory.Skills & Qualifications· Hands-on experience with low-voltage systems (security, AV, fire alarm, cabling).· Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and manuals.· Proficiency with tools and test equipment.· Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.· Excellent communication and customer service skills.· Valid driver's license and ability to travel
