A fast-growing distributor in the landscaping industry is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to oversee and optimize branch operations, ensuring both customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. For a complete understanding of this opportunity, and what will be required to be a successful applicant, read on.Salary + Additional Benefits: $70,000-$85,000Employer paid medical premiumDental & vision InsuranceSimple IRA with matchEmployee discountPTOLocation: Petaluma, California - On SiteType of Position: Direct HireResponsibilities:Oversee and support the performance and development of frontline, logistics, and warehouse team members.Promote a service-oriented culture aligned with organizational values.Assist in day-to-day location operations and overall management responsibilities.Drive location-level performance to surpass established sales and profitability benchmarks.Cultivate and sustain productive internal and external professional relationships.Track operating costs and ensure alignment with designated financial targets on a recurring basis.Oversee inventory control processes in accordance with standardized operational procedures.Demonstrate effective delegation techniques and ensure appropriate follow-up on assigned tasks.Requirements:3+ years of supervisory experience within branch management or similar environmentFull fluency in both English and Spanish (READ, WRITE & SPEAK)Willingness to work a minimum of TWO Saturdays per month, additional if neededAbility to lift 50 lbs and willingness to operate forklift & flatbed truck (training provided)Energetic and personable with a consistently positive approachDemonstrates reliability, honesty, and strong ethical standardsMotivated and proactive, with the ability to encourage and influence team successNaturally confident in customer-facing interactions and team leadershipComfortable with technology and capable of managing multiple priorities effectivelyDue to the high volume of applications we typically receive, we regret that we are not able to personally respond to all applications.
