Senior Accountant

We are recruiting a Senior Accountant for a rapidly growing company in the greater Raleigh area. Find out if this opportunity is a good fit by reading all of the information that follows below.Responsibilities:Lead key areas of the monthly and year-end close, including journal entries, reconciliations, and account analysisPrepare and review internal financial reports, including P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow statementsMaintain financial schedules related to prepaid expenses, property taxes, interest accruals, and debt amortizationManage fixed asset accounting, including capitalization, depreciation, and disposalsCalculate and record inventory and COGS entries; work with operations to resolve variancesSupport budgeting and forecasting effortsAssist with lease accounting and compliance with relevant reporting standardsContribute to process improvements, systems upgrades, and internal control enhancementsTake on special projects and ad hoc reporting at the request of the CFO and leadership teamRequirements:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA or CPA-track strongly preferred3+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a general ledger-focused roleStrong grasp of GAAP and experience preparing full financial statementsProficient in Excel and comfortable working with accounting systemsExcellent communicator who thrives in a collaborative, evolving environmentPrior experience in manufacturing is highly preferred Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
