Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Tool and Die Maker - III for a manufacturing client in Minneapolis.Interested in this role You can find all the relevant information in the description below.The Tool and Die Maker must have at least 6 years of experience as a tool and die maker and have experience with semi-permanent dies, layout work, and knowledge of short run stamping through progressive dies.Responsibilities:Plan, design, construct, or repair a wide variety of highly intricate and complicated tools, dies, jigs, gauges, and fixtures to extremely close tolerances.Perform difficult development work and construct tools where no design is available.Select allowances and device mechanism details.Perform highly skilled fitting, adjusting, and timing of tools and machinery.Perform work involving multi-station progressive dies, intricate compound dies of irregular shape, subpress dies for parts of delicate outline, and complex index milling fixtures.Perform any tool room machine operation, including CAD/KEY, CNC lathe, and other technologies required for toolroom operations.Work from complicated drawings and sketches.Use advanced shop mathematics and all types of precision measuring instruments.Apply a high degree of experience, trade skill, and thorough knowledge of machine shop practice.Other duties as assigned.Requirements:Possess or be willing to purchase the required inspection and hand tools upon acceptance of the job offer.Ability to lift 50 pounds.Preferred Qualifications:Toolmaker experience (7 years).Experience with progressive diesEducation:CNC / Machine Tool Technology (or equivalent) degree or certificate (Preferred)Benefits:401(k)401(k) matchingEmployee assistance programHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time off.Schedule:Monday to FridayWeekend availabilityoperates two shifts; 1st shift if 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, 2nd shift is 3:30 pm to midnight.
