This role is essential to ensuring operations run smoothly while directly supporting the community.Job Description:We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Order & Inventory Specialist to manage the purchasing and inventory process. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem-solving, and balances accuracy with flexibility.Key Responsibilities:Oversee purchasing, order entry, and reconciliation with vendorsManage and maintain inventory systems to ensure accuracyBuild and maintain vendor relationships, resolving issues as they ariseCollaborate with internal teams to support meal production needsDevelop and improve procurement processes, policies, and best practicesEnsure accuracy in coding, budgeting, and the entire procurement workflowRequired Qualifications:Experience with inventory management systemsVendor management experienceExperience with order entry and reconciliationPreferred Qualifications:Food purchasing or procurement experienceSupervisory or team lead experience in purchasing/receivingCustomer service or client-facing management experienceExperience in high-volume meal productionAdditional Details:Schedule: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM (flexibility possible after acclimation)Onsite in San Francisco, potential hybrid after trust is establishedBackground check requiredReports directly to Director of Facilities, Procurement & Business OperationsOpen to contract-to-hire or direct hirePerks:Play a key role in a mission-driven non-profitWork closely with leadership and be a cornerstone of procurement operationsOpportunity to contribute directly to improving community health and wellness
