Job Title: Staff AccountantFind out more about this role by reading the information below, then apply to be considered.Location: NE Portland - HybridSalary: $68,000-$72,000 Why This Opportunity Stands Out: Join a mission-driven nonprofit focused on community housing and support Work closely with program directors and finance teams to manage grant-funded projects Gain experience with federal and state grant invoicing, budgeting, and reporting Stable schedule and strong internal support Excellent benefits, including full medical coverage, generous PTO, and a retirement plan with employer match Key Responsibilities: Prepare and submit invoices and payment requests to various funding agencies in compliance with federal and state guidelines Act as liaison between program teams and funding agencies to resolve accounts receivable issues Reconcile and prepare periodic progress reports and budget modifications for grant-funded projects Support grant budget preparation and variance analysis Perform general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and payroll reclassifications related to grants Collaborate with program directors to ensure accurate financial reporting and grant compliance Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Strong understanding of nonprofit accounting, including grant billing and compliance Proficiency in Excel; experience with ERP systems preferred Timing is everything.
