Job Description

The Wellbeing Specialist works to improve competencies of persons through the psychosocial rehabilitation process. The person in this position is responsible for providing a variety of psychosocial rehabilitation opportunities for clients. Opportunities consist of skills-based groups, symptom management, wellness education, community integration, leisure and recreational events, crisis intervention and support.The following information aims to provide potential candidates with a better understanding of the requirements for this role.This is a full-time, benefit eligible position. The schedule is Monday - Friday.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS - JOB SPECIFICDevelops and completes all necessary documentation, plans, and documents relevant to designated caseload according to the Wellness CenterDevelops and implements therapeutic individual and group services as prescribed per consumer's Wellness PlansPromotes maximum participation of consumers in the program activitiesPromotes independent living skills and autonomy in areas of interpersonal relationships, meaningful activity, community living, wellness management, and community resourcesCommunicates pertinent information to supervisor, relevant providers, and treatment teamEngages and educates families in treatment and rehabilitation process when appropriateRoutinely acts as an advocate and facilitator for consumers overall needs and careProvides crisis intervention services and facilitates outreach effortsExhibits a thorough understanding of Compass Health Network's philosophy and mission, policies and procedures, and the goals of the programExhibits a thorough understanding of DMH Core Rules.Transports consumers on designated routes safely and efficientlyDemonstrates and applies current knowledge of mental health and treatmentDemonstrates a thorough knowledge of assigned clientsDemonstrates good clinical judgment and decision-making skillsDemonstrates energy, respect, compassion, and enthusiasm while making a positive contribution to the team and programWorks as scheduled with rare absences and tardinessEngages in supervision and is open to feedback while making apparent efforts for improvementConducts activities in a culturally competent manner and is responsible for complying with the Corporate Compliance PlanPerforms other duties as assignedWORKING CONDITIONS & EXPOSURE RISKOperating vehicles or machineryRegular exposure to blood and/or body fluidsHigh School/GED requiredAssociate's* or Bachelor's degree in a human service-related field preferredWORK EXPERIENCEMust qualify for position based on overall CSS requirements in at least one of the options listed:Qualified addiction professional;Bachelor's degree in a human services field from a college or university included in the U.S. Department of Education's database of accredited schools at ;Any four-year degree or combination of higher education and qualifying experience;Four years of qualifying experience; orAssociate of Applied Science in Behavioral Health Support degree as designated by the department.*Qualifying experience must include delivery of service to individuals with mental illness, substance use disorders, or developmental disabilities.A valid driver's license and agency established minimum automobile coverage requiredCompass Health Network is a nonprofit health care organization offering accessible, comprehensive, & compassionate behavioral health, substance use treatment, family medicine and dental services throughout Missouri.
