Senior Estimator

Fit Recruiting is seeking a Senior Estimator for a growing construction firm. This candidate will lead the full preconstruction process for commercial construction projects ranging from $1M to $20M+. You/u2019ll manage estimates from pursuit to handoff, ensuring accuracy, competitiveness, and smooth transitions to operations. This is a high-impact leadership role with opportunities for team mentorship and long-term growth. Salary is in the $100K-$120K range DOE + benefits.Check all associated application documentation thoroughly before clicking on the apply button at the bottom of this description.Key ResponsibilitiesLead estimates for hard-bid, GMP, and cost-plus projects across all CSI divisionsOversee quantity takeoffs, pricing, scope sheets, and bid-day executionDevelop and document Basis of Estimate (BOE), risk register, and contingency plansCoordinate subcontractor outreach, scope coverage, and proposal levelingConduct pre-bid site walksEnsure estimates meet internal quality control checkpointsSubmit complete and compliant bid packages on timeSupport buyout and handoff to project teamsMentor and lead a small estimating//precon teamQualifications7/u201310+ years of commercial estimating experience (GC environment)Strong experience with hard bids; GMP//cost-plus a plusProficiency with Excel, Bluebeam, BuildingConnected, and Sage (or similar)Familiar with Procore and preconstruction tracking toolsSolid understanding of construction scope, CSI divisions, and general conditionsAbility to review plans//specs and perform detailed takeoffsKnowledge of insurance, bonding, LDs, payroll, and commercial termsBachelor's degree in Construction Management or related fieldWillingness to travel for pre-bid walkthroughs and vendor meetings
