Mechanic

PurposeEnsure you read the information regarding this opportunity thoroughly before making an application.Mechanics inspect, diagnose, maintain or repair the crane systems, from its body to engines and electrical or computer systems. Fleet vehicles include cranes, crane equipment, boom trucks, trailers, pickup trucks, and semis.Duties and ResponsibilitiesResponsible for performing preventative and corrective maintenance on diesel engines, booms, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, brakes and other basic componentsOperate hoists, forklifts, and/or hand trucks to handle, dismantle and reassemble heavy material and equipmentAbility to operate and perform a thorough inspection of machines or heavy equipment to diagnose defects, faults, or malfunctions and determine required repairsTest mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers and OEM specificationsClean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment and vehiclesRead and understand operating manuals, blueprints, and technical drawingsFabricates, modifies, and installs special equipment or replacement parts using specialty toolsExamine parts for damage or excessive wear using micrometers and gaugesRepair, rewire, and troubleshoot electrical systemsRepair and replace damaged or worn parts on vehicles and equipmentPerform other duties as assignedMinimum RequirementsEducation:High School diploma or GEDAssociates or Vocational degree preferredCommercial Driver's License (CDL)Experience:5+ years' of mechanical experience, crane preferred, or equivalent training3+ years' experience in diesel, gasoline, and propane enginesSkills/Knowledge:Advanced ability to interpret instructions and blueprintsAdvanced mechanical aptitude and manual dexterityAdvanced time management and communication skillsAdditional Requirements:Must be able to pass a drug test, background check, and fit for duty test.What are the Perks?We are proud to offer day one eligibility for medical, dental and vision plans.
