Job Description

We're looking for an organized, detail-oriented, and experienced paralegal to play an important role on our legal team. You'll draft legal documents such as affidavits, prepare briefs, conduct legal research for trial preparation, and keep case files and other important information neatly organized and easily accessible. If you're interested in advancing your paralegal career with opportunities for growth, we want to hear from you.Compensation:$60,000 - $70,000, depending on experience plus benefitsResponsibilities:Prepare legal documents, correspondence, and pleadings such as complaints, interrogatories, subpoenas, deposition notices, pretrial orders, legal briefs, and affidavits, under the supervision of a lawyerMake sure to read the full description below, and please apply immediately if you are confident you meet all the requirements.Coordinate law office activity, including the drafting subpoenas and coordinating with process serversPerform administrative duties such as answering phone calls and keeping our case filing system organized so all documents are readily accessibleAid lawyers in trial preparation by preparing and organizing exhibits, organizing and coordinating witnesses, conducting research on legal articles, and assisting with client meetings and filing motionsHold client interviews to gather information about their legal problemsOrganize & Manage Matters: Maintain files, docket events, and ensure smooth case flow.Draft & Review Documents: Prepare trusts, wills, and estate planning documents with precision for attorney review.Support Clients: Communicate updates, gather information, and assist clients with form completion.Administrative Support: Assist with e-filing, phone coverage, scheduling, and notarizing documents.Team Collaboration: Participate in weekly case management meetings and contribute to a supportive, team-oriented culture.Qualifications:3 years of experience in legal services under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm settingStrong preference for candidates who have completed a paralegal professional certification or have an advanced paralegal educationMust have great time-management skills, and organizational skillsMust have strong interpersonal skills and talent for writing and grammarMost Important: 2-5 years of Florida Estate Planning experience, including trust drafting, is non-negotiable.
