Located at the Canon Factory Service Center in Costa Mesa, CA, this individual will perform on-site or in-house repair of imaging products including Mirrorless cameras, Digital SLR Cameras, Lens, Flash, Binoculars, Powershots, EF and RF lens, Speedlite Flash, etc. Must be able to lift 15lb. or more in equipment. Benefits start on day one including medical, dental & vision.40 Hour Work Week, Monday to Friday 7:30 am to 4:30 pm This position requires full-time presence at your assigned office(s)/worksite(s)/territory. Your Impact Perform in-house servicing, repair of company products. Perform general maintenance tasks, troubleshoot, repair DSLR Camera, Lens, and Flash systemProvide technical support to customers on operational or maintenance aspects of system equipmentDiagnose mechanical, hardware, software and systems failures, using established proceduresPrepare reports for analyses of product failure trends and service ability issuesWork on assignments that are routine in nature, but attention to detail is essential. Also, requires judgement based on established procedures and guidelinesService and repair designated equipment to Canon standards and specifications to provide efficient and responsive service to customersGenerate service revenue by repairing designated equipmentqMaintains all technical information and Canon property assignedPrepare reports and other data for the department to ensure accurate information and record-keepingCommunicate with supervisor, and other departments if necessary, regarding the solution of technical and/or customer service related problem areasPerform high demand repair volume to support departmental goal of Turn Around TimeConduct product rework/modifications/ New product inspection About You: The Skills & Expertise You Bring Typically requires general education and/or vocational training plus 1 to 2 years of related experience.Equivalent high school degree, plus additional broad specialized technical training equal to two years' college. Over two years of practical experience in a service repair environment.Working knowledge of computer platforms, general application software and networking environments. Capable of performing basic device network installation Must be able to lift min. 15lbs in camera/lens/case weightBasic level of MS excel, Word, PowerpointMinimum of six months repair experience of camera or optical products or min. of two years of repair experience in the Electronic Field.Ability to demonstrate mechanical aptitude and use of electrical meter and hand tools to perform repairsMinimum six months inspecting, testing, grading, repairing or refurbishing experience of electro-mechanical equipment (i.e. office equipment)Capable of accessing technical websites (i.e. E-Support platform)Demonstrates ability to work in a collaborative work team environmentDemonstrates a positive internal and external work attitudeDemonstrates good customer service skills and abilities We are providing the anticipated salary range for this role: $20.54 - 25.49 hourlyCompany Overview About our Company - Canon U.S.A., Inc., is a leading provider of consumer, business-to-business, and industrial digital imaging solutions to the United States and to Latin America and the Caribbean markets.
