The Daspit Law Firm is a mid-sized and fast-paced plaintiff's firm with its main office in downtown Houston, with offices throughout Texas and in Arizona, Arkansas, Georgia, Missouri, New Mexico, and Oklahoma. The Daspit Law Firm handles a wide variety of injury cases, including car accidents, construction accidents, oil field accidents, industrial accidents, plant & refinery accidents, and more. Daspit Law Firm offers frequent courtroom experience with the opportunity for courtroom appearances during all stages of litigation.Do not pass up this chance, apply quickly if your experience and skills match what is in the following description.Daspit Law Firm is seeking a licensed Briefing Attorney with a minimum of 2 years of experience to join its panel of attorneys. This position will be focused on research and writing substantive briefs, motions, responses, and appellate work is a plus.Excellent research and writing skills are required. Responsibilities will be focused heavily on research and writing, including handling pretrial and trial motions such as motions to compel written discovery, motions for summary judgment and responses, Daubert motions, and briefing on other procedural and evidentiary issues. The candidate must be an excellent writer with finely hones analytical skills, able to handle multiple matters with independence and sound judgment, and able to work effectively and efficiently with other attorneys of the firm.*Position Requirements*· Candidates must be licensed to practice law, or actively working towards passing the Bar exam.· Excellent interpersonal communication skills. Candidates will be required to communicate with clients by phone, email, and in person.· Exceptional attention to detail.· Legal research, writing, and editing skills.· Candidates must be self-motivated, task-oriented, and capable of managing a docket with multiple cases.· Strong organizational and time management skills are also required.*Job Type:* Full-time*Pay: *Negotiable based upon experience.
