The Lifeguard or Aquatic Attendant provides assistance to swimmers in the event of an emergency and assists with emergency care until medical services arrive.This position is permanent, not seasonal.Opportunities with WVC:Tuition ReimbursementScholarshipsWeekly PayTM Events and RecognitionPlus many moreWage:Lifeguard wage: $15.00/hrAquatic Attendant wage: $14.00/hrResponsibilities:Cautions swimmers regarding unsafe areas.Rescues swimmers in danger of drowning and administers first aid.Maintains order in swimming areas.Inspects facilities for cleanliness.Cleans and adds water to swimming pool, as necessary.Tests free chlorine (CL) and potential for hydrogen (PH) daily.Conducts or officiates swimming meets, as necessary.Gives swimming instructions, when requested.Oversees pool parties and/or group swim events.Qualifications:Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceFor Lifeguard: Lifeguard Certification and CPR Certification requiredHours:Part TimeSchedule:Monday-Friday 1:00pm-6:00pm, Saturday 7:30am-2:00pm, Sunday 1:00pm-5:00pmLocation:The Cultural Center of Willow Valley Communities900 Willow Valley Lakes Drive, Willow Street, PA 17584WELL111
