With competitive pay and benefits, safe and stable work, and an environment that is caring and supportive, National Beef could become your next career move!Competitive Wages and Benefits:401(k) with company matchPaid VacationFamily friendly benefits including Health/Dental/VisionPaid life and disabilityFor more information about National Beef Leathers, Click Here!Responsibilities:Purchasing Manager responsibilities include but are not limited to:Primary Responsibility: The Purchasing Manager is responsible for all materials replenishment, scheduling of all materials and other associated purchasing activities as well as supervising and managing the stockroom.Key Roles and Responsibilities:Collaborate with key stakeholders to determine supply needsPurchase chemicals, repair parts, packaging, and supplies according to specificationsCreate necessary purchase orders, ensure pricing accuracy and keep detailed records on procurement activityAssure adherence to corporate contractsCoordinate and supervise receiving and warehousing proceduresOversee distribution of supplies within the facilityControl inventory levels to ensure availability of necessary itemsMaintain relationships and negotiate with suppliers as appropriateAssist in forecasting to plan and execute future ordersAssure timely cycle counting and maintain book-to-physical inventory accuracyMaintain a clean and organized purchasing and storeroom wok environmentInteract with operations, maintenance and accounting on projectsDaily and weekly usage reportingOther duties as assignedThis is a safety sensitive position. This is an on-site position.Qualifications:Qualified Candidates for the Purchasing Manager position should possess the following:Fundamental reading, writing and arithmetic skills requiredGeneral understanding of manufacturing processes, procedures, and machinery (2 to 5 years of manufacturing experience is preferred)Knowledge of chemicals and suppliesConceptual/Analytical thinkingAttention to detailAdept at problem solvingLeadership and supervisory skillsEffective interpersonal skillsExcellent communication skills, written and verbalSelf-motivated and self-starterMaintain confidentialityExperience with ERP systems (BPCS) and Microsoft Office - proficiency is a plusMust be at least 18 years of age or older.Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to provide visa sponsorship at this time.Company Overview:National Beef is a leader in producing fresh, chilled and further processed beef products for customers in the U.S. and worldwide.
