Join EY and help to build a better working world.Supply Chain Operations - Oil & Gas - Onshore Production Operations Transformation - ManagerThe opportunityWe are seeking a manager with deep expertise in onshore upstream production operations to help EY shape the next generation of operating models in oil and gas. As part of our team, you will lead the design and validation of integrated solutions that address the complex challenges of onshore well operations, artificial lift, field optimization, and production efficiency. This is a client-facing, solution-lead role, ideal for someone with real-world operational knowledge and the ability to convert that insight into innovative business and digital transformation strategies. You'll work closely with clients, alliance partners, and EY delivery teams to design future-ready operating models across the well lifecycle.Your key responsibilitiesAs a manager in EY's Upstream Production Operations team, you will:Lead the definition of integrated solutions for onshore production optimization, incorporating technical, digital, and organizational leversTranslate field-level operational constraints into scalable solution designs that improve uptime, reduce LOE, and enable performance transparencyPartner with client stakeholders across production, operations, and digital to validate use cases and shape transformation roadmapsAct as the solution architect during early stages of pursuits, defining MVP scope, partnering with technology providers, and articulating business valueDrive local market engagement with operators, technology vendors, and OEMs to strengthen EY's brand and uncover new collaboration opportunitiesCollaborate with internal delivery and capability teams to co-develop toolkits, deployment blueprints, and accelerators for field implementationSupport proposal development, alliance activation, and client presentations as the technical voice behind production operations offeringsProvide delivery handoff and early oversight to ensure continuity of vision, scope, and stakeholder alignmentSkills and attributes for successStrong knowledge of onshore oil and gas production systems, artificial lift methods, surveillance workflows, and field-level execution constraintsAbility to think holistically across people, process, data, and technology to design next-generation production operating modelsPractical understanding of field data systems, edge analytics, and real-time monitoring platformsFamiliarity with digital solutions in the onshore space such as autonomous wells, remote ops centers, AI-driven lift optimization, and digital twinsStrong communication and storytelling skills with the ability to tailor technical insights for business and field audiencesClient-facing experience in shaping or selling transformation programs in the oil and gas sectorEntrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in ambiguous, fast-moving client environmentsTo qualify for the role, you must haveA bachelor's degree in petroleum engineering, mechanical engineering, or related technical discipline6-10 years of experience in upstream oil and gas production operations, with a strong focus on onshore unconventional assetsDirect experience working for or with oil and gas operators on production improvement, asset optimization, or digital transformation programsExposure to cross-functional collaboration across production operations, digital technology, supply chain, and maintenanceDemonstrated experience in shaping and defining solutions for operational efficiency or digital enablementIdeally, you'll also haveExperience engaging with technology providers (e.g., AVEVA, C3.ai, Cognite, SLB, Honeywell) in shaping production optimization or monitoring solutionsConsulting experience or involvement in multi-disciplinary transformation projectsFamiliarity with LOE optimization, ESG-related production constraints (e.g., methane management, flaring), and emissions performance reportingA strong professional network within upstream oil and gas operators or the oilfield technology ecosystemWhat we look forWe're looking for a solution-oriented leader, someone who understands the real-world complexity of onshore production and can design smarter, more resilient ways to operate. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $128,400 to $235,300. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $154,000 to $267,400. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.Under our flexible vacation policy, you'll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances.
