You have prior experience in a manufacturing setting handling the below listed essential tasks: Essential Duties and TasksConducts new hire orientation presentations and toursCollaborates with supervisors to schedule new-hire's training schedule and connection lunches Assists in creating new ID badges for new hires Assist in managing the HR Manager's Outlook calendar for new hire employee check-in meetingsConducts new hire benefit/insurance instruction and educational meetingsConducts one-on-one benefit meetings to assist new employees with benefit/beneficiary enrollment e.g., insurance, 401k, HSA/FSA to ensure a hassle-free process Be a front-line support system for employee benefit questions and assist with updates to employee benefit records Lead the charge during open enrollment e.g., organizing companywide meetings, literature distribution, assisting employees with enrollment and questions, managing ADP Workforce benefits and enrollmentsMaintain master Excel employee list and produce birthday/anniversary lists for distributionMaintain and distribute organizational chart Make onboarding new hire and employee benefit packetsAssist in creating and distributing HR / Company / Policy / Meeting notices and updates in various plant postings, paper handouts, or email messagesMaintain employee bulletin boards (both buildings), making sure postings are current, removing expired notices, and keeping employees informed as needed Maintain and reorder inventory on employee gifts and prepare for distributionPrepare exit interview paperwork for HR Manager Process COBRA benefits protocol for terminated employeesAssist with coordinating company events to include the wellness program, employee celebrations, open enrollment, and or any other employee gathering as needed Responsible for monthly vendor insurance bill reconciliation and preparation for the accounting departmentAssists the HR Manager in ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations by assisting in the maintenance of records, reports, and logs as neededManages and periodically audits I-9 documents for complianceManages annual document destruction following the recommended document retention guide Assists HR Manager with keeping job descriptions up to date through document control submission Third in line for daily phone supportAny other duties needed to help drive our vision, fulfill our mission, and abide by our organization's valuesEducation and Experience3+ years of firsthand HR Generalist experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting Associate Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or equivalent discipline preferred; equivalent experience in a related role is considered in lieu of a degree A solid understanding of employment-related laws and regulationsProficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Knowledge of ADP Workforce Benefits preferredStrong problem-solving and the ability to multitask with excellent organizational skills while prioritizing tasksExcellent verbal and written communication skills in the English language Must always possess mindfulness and maturity for confidentiality and professionalismMust meet the ITAR definition of §120.15 U.S. person Key CompetenciesEmotional Intelligence Relationship Building Initiative Integrity Resolution-Mindset Self-ManagementReceptivenessProject ManagementResponsivenessCritical ThinkingPhysical Demand LevelsRegular, predictable attendance is required, including quarter-driven hours as business demands dictateRemaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periodsCommunication with others verbally or written to exchange informationEmployee will climb stairs occasionally Employee will be required regularly to switch between standing, sitting, talking, hearing, reaching, bending, and use of hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and keyboardSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work.
