This role will report directly to the Vice President of Engineering and Surveying.Why join us?Competitive Base Salary!401K match, PTO, and excellent benefits!Accelerated Career Growth!Job DetailsResponsibilities:Operational Management of Land Surveying Services:Schedule and coordinate survey crewsCommunicate and coordinate with clientsPrepare proposals and manage billingCollaborate with the engineering departmentPrepare field notes, stakeout points, and other resources to support field crewsAssist with survey equipment, supply, and vehicle maintenanceSurvey Data Preparation and Processing:Conduct deed and plat researchDraft preliminary documents in advance of field collectionPost-process and evaluate field-collected dataPerform traverse balancingRectify and rotate datums as neededEstablish stakeout and offset points; prepare cut sheetsSurvey Mapping and Documentation:Produce survey maps and plats, including:- Boundary surveys- Topographic surveys- Improvement surveys- Metes and bounds descriptions- Easement descriptions and exhibits- As-built surveys- ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys- Subdivision platsPrepare existing condition files in AutoCAD for design teamsAdditional Duties:Conduct field surveying as neededReview and rectify boundaries with licensed surveyorsProvide occasional support to engineering design and layoutPerform other relevant office or project-related tasks as requiredQualifications:6-8 years of experience in the land surveying industry preferred; all applicants with relevant experience will be consideredLicensure as a Property Line Surveyor or Registered Professional Land Surveyor is not required, but candidates pursuing licensure (including LSIT/CST exams) are encouraged to applyStrong organizational and communication skillsProficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant survey softwareAbility to manage multiple projects and coordinate with cross-functional teamsThis position is primarily office-based, but occasional field work is expectedInterested in hearing more?
