Senior Accountant

Title: Senior AccountantRead the overview of this opportunity to understand what skills, including and relevant soft skills and software package proficiencies, are required.Salary: $75-100K base (depending on experience; negotiable) Why This Opportunity Stands Out: Fast-paced, high-growth distribution business targeting $1B revenue in the next 3 years Small, hands-on accounting team where you'll own your accounts and have true impact Direct partnership with the Controller and Accounting Manager Exposure to operations, reporting, inventory, capital expenditures, and process improvement Collaborative leadership team with significant advancement opportunities Senior Accountant Key Responsibilities: Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes including journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting Oversee general ledger accuracy and completeness of financial data Prepare and review financial statements for GAAP compliance Support internal and external audits, tax filings, and survey reporting Monitor inventory movements, analyze reserves, and manage capital expenditures Submit sales/use tax data and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements Partner with the Controller to identify issues and implement process improvements Collaborate across departments to research policies, solve problems, and provide recommendations Senior Accountant Qualifications: Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, or Business 5+ years progressive accounting experience (close, reconciliations, internal controls, lease accounting, sales/use tax) ERP/accounting system proficiency; advanced Excel/data tool skills Food distribution, food service, or CPG industry background strongly preferred #INSEP2025 #ZRCFS #LI-MP3
