Mechanical Maintenance Technician Level IIIApplying for this role is straight forward Scroll down and click on Apply to be considered for this position.Location: Jamestown, NYJob Type: Full-Time | Onsite, 2nd ShiftPay Rate: $35/hrOvertime: Available and expectedOverviewWe are seeking a skilled and reliable Mechanical Maintenance Technician Level III to join our team in Jamestown, NY. This full-time, second shift position is vital to ensuring our manufacturing equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably. The role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining mechanical, electrical, and automated systems while supporting continuous improvement and safety initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot, install, test, and repair a variety of mechanical and electrical systems, including CNC, automation, and robotics.Perform preventive maintenance and document findings in the maintenance system (e.g., Maximo).Use diagnostic tools such as multimeters, clamp amps, and meggers to ensure equipment functionality.Maintain high standards of workmanship to maximize equipment uptime and production quality.Report safety hazards, follow established safety protocols, and promote a safe workplace.Mentor junior team members and contribute to apprenticeship training programs.Participate in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and other continuous improvement efforts.Communicate effectively with team members and support departments to improve processes.Keep work areas clean, safe, and organized through routine housekeeping.Identify and address hazards with electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.Support other departments when needed to minimize downtime.Qualifications & CompetenciesMinimum Requirements:7+ years of mechanical maintenance or related skilled trade experienceOR completion of a 4-year, 8,000-hour apprenticeship + 1 year of field experienceOR a 2-year technical degree in machine repair, electrical, or related field + 3 years of experienceProficiency in reading schematics, blueprints, and technical drawingsStrong problem-solving and decision-making skillsExperience with preventive and predictive maintenance practicesWillingness to work overtime and weekends as neededTechnical Knowledge:Expertise in troubleshooting mechanical, CNC, automation, and robotic systemsFamiliarity with PLCs, HMIs, servo drives, and maintenance management systems (e.g., Maximo)Knowledge of NEC, IEC, and electrical safety standards (NFPA 70E certification preferred)Behavioral Competencies:Strong teamwork and communication skillsCommitment to safety, continuous improvement, and quality workmanshipAbility to mentor and train othersValues collaboration, inclusion, and diversityCompensationPay Rate: $2023/hr, based on experienceOvertime opportunities availableEqual Opportunity EmployerWe are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.
