Shift: 1st Shift (Typically 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM, Monday-Friday)Pay Range: $25+ (based on experience and qualifications) Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled Thermal Spray Operator with plasma spray experience to join our surface technology team on 1st shift. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in operating thermal spray equipment and applying advanced coatings to metal components in a precision manufacturing environment.Key Responsibilities:Set up, calibrate, and operate plasma spray equipment to apply thermal coatings to metal surfacesPrepare parts for coating (masking, grit blasting, cleaning)Interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, and process specificationsConduct in-process inspections to verify coating thickness and surface finish using micrometers, calipers, and other gaugesTroubleshoot and adjust spray parameters as needed to ensure qualityMaintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety protocolsRecord process data and complete production documentationAssist in equipment maintenance and basic troubleshootingQualifications:High school diploma or GED required; technical training a plus2+ years of experience with thermal spray processes, especially plasma sprayStrong understanding of coating applications and surface prep techniquesAbility to read blueprints and follow detailed work instructionsFamiliarity with HVOF or HVAF a plusGood manual dexterity and attention to detailStrong commitment to quality, safety, and teamwork#PM25Physical Requirements:Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periodsTolerance to high-temperature environments (with PPE)Comfortable working around industrial equipment and coatings PI05e1bf297cdb-30134-38462919
