Summary:Read on to find out what you will need to succeed in this position, including skills, qualifications, and experience.Shift: 1st/2nd/3rd ShiftThe Maintenance Supervisor plays a critical leadership role in overseeing and coordinating the maintenance and repair of production machinery and mechanical equipment. This position ensures optimal equipment performance while supporting team development, safety, and continuous improvement across the maintenance department. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Test, monitor, and evaluate equipment performanceObserve and troubleshoot mechanical devices during operationDismantle devices and identify defective partsInspect parts for wear and dimensional changesAdjust functional components and instrumentationRepair or replace defective componentsInstall functional and structural partsLubricate, clean, and test equipmentOperate tools such as drill press, grinders, and other metalworking toolsInitiate purchase orders for parts and machineryRepair electrical systems and perform skilled tasks (welding, plumbing, brazing)Service pumps, fans, motors, and valvesAdjust and repair electrical, electronic, and pneumatic systemsPerform and document preventative maintenanceMaintain good condition of tools and equipmentDevelop and review maintenance work orders and schedulesSupervise maintenance of building, equipment, and groundsEnsure proper use and accountability for maintenance tools and materialsEnforce safety protocols and GMP complianceAddress employee issues, complaints, and performanceSupport company leadership and culture initiativesSupervisory Responsibilities:Directly supervises employees in the Maintenance DepartmentResponsible for:Interviewing, hiring, and training employeesPlanning, assigning, and directing workPerformance evaluations, recognition, and disciplineResolving complaints and problemsParticipating in leadership development programs and company culture effortsQualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential dutysatisfactorily.
