This exciting role offers the opportunity to provide financial leadership on multiple projects, working closely with project managers and other key stakeholders to ensure the financial integrity and success of each project. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the engineering industry, with expertise in job costing, pay applications, change orders, WIP, AIA, percentage of completion, timberline, vista viewpoint, and vista.Responsibilities:As a Senior Project Accountant, you will be responsible for:1. Overseeing project-level accounts, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of project financial data.2. Preparing and analyzing job cost reports, monitoring project budgets, and identifying any potential financial risks or issues.3. Processing pay applications, change orders, and lien waivers, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and compliant with company policies and procedures.4. Managing the WIP schedule, tracking project progress, and calculating the percentage of completion for each project.5. Collaborating with project managers to forecast project costs, develop financial plans, and make strategic financial decisions.6. Utilizing software tools such as Timberline, Vista Viewpoint, and Vista to manage project finances and generate financial reports.7. Ensuring compliance with AIA guidelines and other relevant industry standards.8. Assisting with financial audits, providing necessary documentation, and responding to auditor inquiries.9. Identifying opportunities for process improvement and implementing changes to enhance financial efficiency and accuracy.Qualifications:To be successful in this role, you will need:1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in project accounting, preferably within the engineering industry.2. Strong knowledge of job costing, pay applications, change orders, WIP, AIA, percentage of completion, timberline, vista viewpoint, and vista.3. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.4. Proficiency in using accounting software, with experience in Timberline, Vista Viewpoint, and Vista preferred.5. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide strategic financial recommendations.6. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with project managers and other key stakeholders.7. A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA or CMA designation is a plus.8. Knowledge of AIA guidelines and other relevant industry standards.9.
