We encourage anyone who shares our values to apply today!Experience, qualification, and soft skills, have you got everything required to succeed in this opportunity Find out below.401(k)Competitive WagesApprenticeship and Comprehensive Training ProgramsPaid Holidays Upon HireCompetitive Medical, Dental, and Vision InsuranceHSA with Employer ContributionPaid Time OffCompany Paid Short-Term Disability & Life InsuranceSafety Bonus ProgramEmployee Stock Ownership ProgramWork Travel IncentiveHoliday Bonus Responsibilities:Measure, cut, and bend various sizes of pipe and tubing to required angle/length using pipe cutters and bendersCopper Brazing and solderingCut, prep, assemble, and install PVC/CPVC pipeCut, thread, assemble, and install steel pipePrepare, fabricate, fit and install welded pipe to specificationsInstall valves, hangers, supports and flanges in piping systems according to plans and applicable specificationsRepair leaks in all types of pipe systemsAssemble, install and repair piping systems according to specifications and appropriate trade and building codesAssist with coordination of materials, labor and equipmentResponsible for training and developing apprenticesEnsure all safety procedures and quality standards are followedWork with other departments as needed Requirements:Minimum 5 years of Commercial and Industrial Plumbing experienceMust possess a current state of Michigan journeyman plumber's licenseASSE Backflow certification preferredWorking knowledge of all types of piping systemsMust be able to read, comprehend, and interpret pipe drawingsPossess the ability to work skillfully with both hands constantlyMust have the ability to independently lift and carry objects safely that weigh up to 20 pounds routinely, 50 pounds frequently, and 80 pounds occasionallyAbility to climb and maintain balance on ladders and scaffoldingKnowledge of pipes, fittings, and fixtures for heating, water and drainage systemsMust have the ability to read and interpret a written scope of workPerform basic mathematical computations and use measuring toolsMust be able to identify basic trade materials by size, shape and function and safely use small power and hand toolsManagerial skillsReliable transportationPhysical Requirements:Must be able to ascend/descend ladders, scaffolds, stairs, and/or operate scissor/boom lifts while working at height.Work in permit & non-permit required confined spaces and in proximity to loud equipment.Must be able to lift and carry or otherwise move up to 50 pounds regularly/occasionallyMust be able to respond quickly to auditory alarms, visual signals, or other effective means to communicate hazardsMust be able to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces.
