Senior Hearing Specialist

At our organization, we are seeking a highly skilled Audiologist to provide exceptional care to our service members in Colleyville, TX.All candidates should make sure to read the following job description and information carefully before applying.This role involves formulating an Independent Medical Opinion (IMO) and/or independent medical exam to assess the severity of hearing problems in unique claimants who are past or present military service members.The scope of practice for this position includes providing professional opinions on the diagnosis, causation, and probability of hearing problems being related to military service.Main Responsibilities:We require you to administer and interpret various tests to determine the type and degree of hearing impairment.You will evaluate test results in relation to behavioral, social, educational, and conduct medical record reviews of past audiograms and documents.Your duties will also include operating computerized programs and utilizing application software and databases to enter, modify, and access information into/from electronic medical records.Maintaining patient confidentiality with written and verbal information per HIPAA is essential.You will be responsible for conducting otoscopic examinations, cerumen management, and calibration checks of audiometric equipment.Additionally, you will lead paraprofessional staff training for Audiology specific skills and certifications as required by all LOB.Completion of Veterans Benefits Administration Disability Benefit Questionnaires (DBQs) is also a requirement.Travel up to 50% may be necessary to provide audiology examinations for clients in multiple locations throughout the country.About You:We are looking for an individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, who can work effectively in a team environment.
