Customer satisfaction, quality equipment and consistently reliable service has helped us expand over twenty times to become a leading fertilizer equipment manufacturer in the industry._*Job Overview:*We are seeking an experienced Lead Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate should have extensive knowledge and expertise in operating both CNC and manual machines. He/she also works safely and should possess a keen eye for detail, a good understanding of machining techniques, and the ability to work with various materials to produce accurate and high-quality parts. The Lead Machinist will be responsible for overseeing the machining operations, managing a team of machinists, ensuring product quality, and contributing to process improvement. This is a day shift position with a schedule of 6:00am to 5:00pm, Monday thru Friday, with a 1 hour lunch break.*Responsibilities:** Set up, operate, and program lathes and mills to produce precision components according to engineering drawings and specifications.* Select appropriate tools, feeds, and speeds to achieve desired results.* Perform precise measurements using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring instruments to ensure components meet quality standards.* Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions to accurately produce parts.* Monitor machine performance, make necessary adjustments, and troubleshoot issues to maintain consistent quality and productivity.* Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of tools and materials.* Collaborate with engineering and production teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.* Assist in training junior machinists and sharing knowledge of machining techniques.* Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.*Qualifications:** Proven experience as a Machinist, with expertise in operating CNC and manual machines.* Capable of reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints* Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling selection, and cutting techniques.* Familiarity with various metals, including Stainless Steel is preferred* Proficient in using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges or ability to learn* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.* Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and supervisors.*Physical Requirements:*Machinists perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and frequent movement of the whole body, such as standing for long periods of time, lifting up to 50 pounds, balancing, squatting, crawling in tight spaces, and handling of material.*Benefits:** Competitive compensation package.* Health, dental, and vision insurance.* 401(k) matching* Paid time off and holidays.* Life Insurance* Opportunities for skill development and advancement within the company.If you are a skilled Machinist with expertise in manual and CNC machine operation , and you're looking to join a dynamic team dedicated to producing top-quality components, we encourage you to apply.
