BCForward is currently seeking a highly motivated HVAC Systems Technician for an opportunity with our clientAll potential applicants are encouraged to scroll through and read the complete job description before applying.Role: HVAC Systems TechnicianLocation: Mt Pleasant, WI ( 100% Onsite)Duration: 6+ Months ContractTypical Day in the RoleCandidate Requirements: Key Responsibilities:• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on HVAC systems, including: • Adiabatic air handlers and evaporative cooling units. • Cooling distribution units (CDUs) and cycling pumps. • Split systems, VAVs, fan power boxes, and exhaust fans. • Computer Room Air Conditioners (CRACs) and Computer Air Handler Units (CAHUs). • Conduct equipment inspections, condition assessments, and performance diagnostics using Building Automation Systems (BAS). • Document maintenance activities and system performance in CMMS and change management systems. • Collaborate with CE Managers and site teams to ensure HVAC systems meet operational and safety standards. • Support interview and hiring processes for technician roles as needed. Preferred Qualifications:• Minimum 5 years of experience with HVAC systems in critical environments such as in data center operations or other high-availability infrastructure environments • Familiarity with adiabatic cooling, evaporative media, airflow path management, and mechanical redundancy principles. • Certification in mechanical systems is a plus. • Strong understanding of mechanical diagnostics, fluid dynamics, and heat exchange principles. • Ability to work independently and escalate issues appropriately. • Required: All candidates must hold an OSHA or OSHA-approved NFPA 70E Certification • Required: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent • Required: Able to work a flexible work schedule which could include weekends • Required: Basic understanding of how to use Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).About BCforward:Founded in 1998 on the idea that industry leaders needed a professional service, and workforce management expert, to fuel the development and execution of core business and technology strategies, BCforward is a Black-owned firm providing unique solutions supporting value capture and digital product delivery needs for organizations around the world.
