The goal of an Mechanical Assembly Technician is to ensure that the electric propulsion units are built per the drawing, inspected, tested and installed on the aircraft.Due to the nature of the work required for this position, this is an onsite opportunity. You will be required to work from our Mountain View office.What you will do: As part of the Production systems organization, and deployed in the Propulsion Assembly you will act as an assembly technician for a novel type of aircraft development targeting the autonomous UAM market.You will take part in ensuring the safe, efficient, and high-quality assembly of electric propulsion motors and subassemblies, supporting the company's mission to revolutionize urban air mobility.You will support a team of technicians, driving performance in safety, quality, and productivity.In some areas, you will be working closely with the systems test team to test test, troubleshoot and rework electric propulsion units as neededRequirements:You have hands-on experience with electric motors or similar mechanical assemblies.2-4 years experience as a technician assembling mechanical and electromechanical assemblies is required.Ability to work from procedures and drawings with minimal guidanceStrong mechanical assembly skillsUnderstanding and use of basic electronics tools (basic shop equipment, DMM, crimpers, etc.)Strong background in troubleshooting and repair of wiring and avionics systemsAble to select and manage parts from a BOMAbility to read schematics and prints.Ability to lift 25 lbs
