No C2C or 3rd parties, please.Apply now, read the job details by scrolling down Double check you have the necessary skills before sending an application.We're looking for a Level III Fiber Splicing Technician for a contract role in Abilene, TX.This position is perfect for an expert in underground, aerial, and ISP fiber splicing who thrives in the field, can lead others, and is committed to quality, safety, and results.Location: Abilene, TX (must relocate before starting; if candidates have to drive into Abilene, mileage will be reimbursed)Schedule: 40-60 hours per week (or more)Pay: $30-$40 per hour (commensurate with experience)Per Diem: available to qualified candidatesShifts: 7am - 7pm, 7pm - 7am, in-betweenPPE is provided by the client (candidate must have their own steel or composite toed boots). Kask helmets are required (not provided by client).What you'll be doing:Perform complex fiber splicing projects with little to no supervisionTroubleshoot customer networks and provide accurate deliverablesLead and mentor other technicians, including creating training plansManage on-site project elements: time, materials, tools, and documentationRead and interpret prints, creating assignments for team membersTrack schedules and progress with Smart Sheets/ExcelEnsure safety standards are met while driving efficiency and qualityWhat we're looking for:3-7+ years of fiber optic splicing experience (Level III)Proficiency in ribbon splicing (required)Strong leadership, customer communication, and team skillsOSHA 30 certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months)First Aid/CPR and bucket truck certificationsValid driver's license + ability to obtain DOT medical card100% nationwide travel flexibilityALL-IN attitude with a commitment to ZERO safety incidentsIf you're an experienced fiber splicing professional who's ready to lead in the field and deliver excellence, we want to hear from you.
