*Job Summary*Applying for this role is straight forward Scroll down and click on Apply to be considered for this position.Addison Smith Mechanical Contractors is seeking an experienced Residential Plumber II to join our growing Residential Division in Carrollton, GA. The Residential Plumber II performs skilled plumbing work on new construction, remodel, and service projects. This position applies full knowledge of plumbing systems, codes, and installation methods to independently complete a wide range of plumbing tasks, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.This mid-level role is ideal for an experienced plumber with 2-5 years of hands-on experience who can work independently or as part of a team. The Plumber II ensures top-quality workmanship, adheres to safety standards, and upholds our company's commitment to exceptional customer service.*Key Responsibilities** Install, repair, and maintain residential plumbing systems including water heaters, fixtures, DWV (drain/waste/vent) piping, and water supply lines.* Perform independent diagnostics and repairs on leaks, clogs, faulty valves, and pressure-related issues.* Cut, thread, solder, and assemble pipe systems using PVC, CPVC, PEX, copper, and steel materials.* Read and interpret blueprints, risers, and drawings to determine work layout.* Install and test PRVs, shutoff valves, mixing valves, and backflow preventers.* Follow plumbing codes, company standards, and OSHA safety regulations.* Complete accurate service tickets, change orders, and inspection reports.* Maintain cleanliness and organization of tools, materials, and work vehicle.* Communicate effectively with customers, supervisors, and team members.* Mentor and support apprentice plumbers or entry-level technicians as needed.*Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities** Strong working knowledge of residential plumbing systems and code requirements.* Ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics, and manuals.* Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.* Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.* Knowledge of safety procedures, confined space requirements, and lockout/tagout.* Effective time management and organization skills.* Strong communication and customer service skills.* Ability to work independently and manage tasks with minimal supervision.*Education & Qualifications** High school diploma or GED required.* Completion of an accredited plumbing apprenticeship preferred.* 2-5 years of residential plumbing experience required.* Demonstrated proficiency in installation and service of residential plumbing systems.*Field of Study** Plumbing Technology, Construction Trades, or related technical discipline.*Certifications & Licenses** Journeyman Plumber's License (state-recognized or equivalent).* OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Certification preferred.* Backflow Prevention Certification preferred.* Water Heater Installation Certification preferred.* Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required.Job Type: Full-timePay: $27.00 - $35.00 per hourExpected hours: No less than 40 per weekBenefits:* 401(k) 4% Match* Company truck* Dental insurance* Employee assistance program* Employee discount* Fuel card* Health insurance* Life insurance* Paid time off* Professional development assistance* Tuition reimbursement* Vision insuranceWork Location: In person
