WHO is Sound Generations?We are a comprehensive non-profit organization that serves older adults and people with disabilities in King County. Our mission is to partner with older adults to provide accessible and inclusive services so they can age their way. We are currently seeking a Customer Service Representative I to join our transportation team in Seattle, WA.  WHAT will I do?As the Customer Service Representative I, you will respond to phone and online requests for transportation, schedule paid and volunteer drivers using transportation mapping and scheduling software, communicate using phones, radios and computers, answer customer questions and support an efficient and caring transportation service. Come join our Transportation Program! Our team helps aging adults get to and from errands, attend activities and medical appointments, and remain connected to their communities. Pay Rate: $23.88 per hour. Work Schedule: Monday through Friday 8am- 4:30pmBenefits:Great Medical, Dental, Vision, Life and Disability insurance coverage.Employer paid 401k plan. 3 weeks paid vacation. Plus, paid sick leave, 13 paid holidays (11 scheduled and 2 floating holidays/personal days).Health Savings Account, Flexible Spending Account, Commuter benefits and more!If you would like to know a bit more about this opportunity, or are considering applying, then please read the following job information. Responsibilities:Assists clients/customers by scheduling ride requests based on Sound Generation's policies and procedures.Responds to questions regarding Sound Generations transportation programs and how to access transportation services. Interprets and communicates agency and program policies and procedures.Uses transportation scheduling software and other computer applications skillfully and accurately to enter new rider data, schedule riders and rides, pickup, drop-off, and return times.Works and communicates effectively with volunteer and paid drivers to ensure they remain updated on cancellations and other schedule changes.Communicate clearly, efficiently, and compassionately with riders, family members, referral partners, drivers, and customer service staff using phones, radios, tablets, and other web-based communication.Resolves scheduling issues by identifying problems and taking steps to bring resolution including redirecting drivers and riders as circumstances require.Requirements:You must have:High School Diploma OR equivalent.One year (1) call taking and/or customer service experience.  Sound Generations is an equal opportunity employer, and we value our diverse workforce.
