Commercial HVAC Service Technician

Job Title: HVAC TechnicianLocation: Charlottesville, VAPay: $35 - $45 / hr DOEPlease read the information in this job post thoroughly to understand exactly what is expected of potential candidates.Position Summary:The HVAC Technician performs maintenance and repairs on medium to large HVAC systems and controls. This role ensures high-quality service, safe work practices, and professional customer interaction.Key Responsibilities:Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including RTUs, heat pumps, DX systems, and control systemsComplete preventive maintenance and inspections per service agreementsDocument work using mobile technologies and follow customer-specific protocols (e.g., IVR systems, work order logs)Maintain clean and professional appearance of self, tools, vehicle, and jobsiteCommunicate work status regularly with service coordinatorsAttend required meetings and training sessionsAdhere to all safety and company policiesOther duties as assignedQualifications:State Journeyman or Master License (Required)EPA 608 Universal Certification (Required)3+ years of HVAC service experienceFamiliarity with BOCA Code and OSHA regulationsStrong troubleshooting and documentation skillsCustomer-focused, self-motivated, and reliableFlexible to work variable shifts, including nights/weekends/overtimePhysical Requirements:Frequently lift/carry up to 50 lbs.; occasional heavy lifting up to 80 lbs.Frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing ladders/stairsCapable of wearing all required PPEWork at heights and in varied environmental conditionsWork Environment:Work is performed in commercial or industrial settings including rooftops, mechanical rooms, and outdoor environments with exposure to noise, chemicals, and moving equipment.
