Part-Time Recreation Lifeguard

Our team is seeking a skilled Recreation Lifeguard to join our part-time staff at Hilton Head Island Resort. As a lifeguard, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and enjoyment of our guests.The following information provides an overview of the skills, qualities, and qualifications needed for this role.Safety First You will be responsible for monitoring pool areas, responding to emergencies, and providing assistance as needed.This is a great opportunity to engage with our guests, provide information and support, and help create unforgettable experiences.Key Responsibilities Ensure the well-being and safety of our guestsKeep pool areas cleanAnswer guest questionsProvide information and assist in recreation equipment/towel rentalsHost supervised children's activitiesRead stories and provide refreshmentsRequirements Be at least 18 years oldHold a valid driver's licenseHave (or be willing to obtain) US Lifeguard and First Responder certificationsPass a vision screening with at least 20/25 visionAbility to observe all sections of an assigned zone or area of responsibilityPass a swim test: swim 200 yards without resting, tread water without using your hands for two minutes, and retrieve a 10-pound brick from a depth of 8 feet.Heavy lifting and working with chemicalsBe comfortable working both indoors and outdoorsThis role requires three full days of availability for any shift, including nights, any day of the week.
