The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and a strong background in pet care, grooming, and handling. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for providing high-quality grooming services to pets while ensuring their comfort and safety. You will work closely with pet owners to understand their grooming needs and deliver exceptional customer service. Only candidates with experience will be considered. If commission based is not wanted, hourly can be discussed. Very flexible schedule. You can create your own schedule! We also support the way you like to schedule your clients, if that is by only you or a hybrid of our office staff.*Duties** Perform grooming services including bathing, trimming, and styling of dogs and other pets according to breed standards or owner preferences.* Handle animals with care, ensuring their safety and comfort during the grooming process.* Maintain cleanliness of the grooming area and equipment to ensure a hygienic environment.* Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' grooming needs and any observed health concerns.* Provide excellent customer service by building rapport with clients and addressing any questions or concerns they may have about their pets' care.* Keep accurate records of services provided and any special instructions from pet owners.*Requirements** Proven experience in pet grooming is required; additional experience in dog training or veterinary settings is highly desirable.* Strong skills in animal handling, including experience with various breeds and sizes of dogs.* Ability to perform heavy lifting when handling larger animals or moving equipment.* Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.* A compassionate approach towards animals, demonstrating patience and care in all interactions.* Previous kennel experience or work in animal care settings is beneficial.* Certification in pet grooming or related fields is preferred but not mandatory.
