Technician - Contract

This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in AV gear, studio lighting, and equipment handling, who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.Key Responsibilities:Test and verify functionality of camera lights and other photography equipment.Inspect and troubleshoot lighting gear for performance issues, damage, or inconsistencies.Assemble and organize kits for production use, including camera kits, lighting kits, and accessory bundles.Label, inventory, and document equipment using internal tracking systems.Collaborate with field operations to ensure kits meet production standards and are ready for deployment.Maintain a clean and organized workspace and follow safety protocols when handling electrical and fragile equipment.Assist with packing and unpacking gear for shoots or shipments as needed.Qualifications:Prior experience with camera and lighting equipment (studio or field production).Basic understanding of electrical safety and lighting principles.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Ability to lift and move equipment (up to 50 lbs).Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.Familiarity with inventory systems or asset tracking tools is a plus.Supporting a diverse and inclusive workforce is important to Shutterfly not only because it directly reflects our value of Embracing our Differences, but also because it's the right thing to do for our business and for our people.
