This is a unique opportunity to join a small business delivering core capabilities for national defense. You will work within a team delivering end-to-end software processing of Overhead Persistent InfraRed (OPIR) sensor data for missile warning. Candidates will develop and implement model-based systems engineering processes in support of the Agile software development program. SciTec seeks a candidate who will thrive in an environment where they can solve challenging engineering problems in support of critical national security objectives.ResponsibilitiesImplementing systems engineering processes aligned with IEEE 15288.Designing and modeling architectures for data processing systems.Developing artifacts using Model Based Systems Engineering.Mentoring other SciTec staff in systems engineering processes and methodologies.Communicating professionally and effectively between customer representatives, program managers, software developers, and other members of the systems engineering team.Other duties as assigned.RequirementsA bachelor's degree in physical sciences, mathematics, engineering (including systems engineering), or computer scienceMinimum 4 years of professional experience in engineering, computer science, remote sensing, aerospace, or defenseMinimum 2 years of professional experience specifically in systems engineeringTwo (2) years of experience specifically with MBSE and modelingTwo (2) years of experience developing system/software requirementsGood verbal and written communication skillsCandidates who have one or more of the following skills will be preferredDomain experience with remote sensor systems or software architecture, especially experience with OPIR sensor processingExperience supporting systems engineering programs in the defense and aerospace fieldsExperience supporting prototypes transformation into production level engineering solutionsAdditional professional experience in systems engineering beyond 2 yearsFamiliarity with the Cameo family of tools, specifically Cameo Systems ModelerExperience with Agile software development methodsDemonstrated experience in program management and project leadershipFamiliarity with the Earned Value Management SystemGraduate degrees or coursework in Systems Engineering or related fieldsAn active SECRET DoD security clearance or higher *Resumes, Cover Letters, and Applications which are generated by AI will not be considered for employment.Colorado Residents: In any materials you submit, you may redact or remove age-identifying information such as age, date of birth, or dates of school attendance or graduation.
