*Avionics Technician*If you think you are the right match for the following opportunity, apply after reading the complete description.*Job Description**POSITION SUMMARY:*Aviation Avionics and Instruments, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Avionics Senior Technician to join our dynamic aerospace team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of avionics systems in aircraft, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations. This position requires a strong background in avionics, electrical engineering, or electronics engineering, with a focus on delivering high-quality technical solutions in a fast-paced environment.*Key Responsibilities*- Perform advanced diagnostics, repairs, and modifications on avionics equipment, including navigation systems, communication devices, flight control systems, and radar technologies.- Conduct thorough inspections and testing of electrical and electronic components to identify and resolve issues, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.- Collaborate with Engineering Teams to integrate Repair Specifications or Procedures to Avionics, adhering to FAA, EASA, or equivalent regulatory guidelines.- Develop and implement maintenance procedures, including preventive maintenance schedules, to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.- Troubleshoot complex electrical and electronic faults using specialized tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and spectrum analyzers.- Prepare detailed technical reports, documentation, and recommendations for system improvements or replacements.- Mentor junior technicians and provide training on avionics best practices, safety protocols, and emerging technologies.- Ensure all work complies with safety standards, quality assurance processes, and environmental regulations.- Stay current with industry advancements in avionics, electrical, and electronics engineering through continuous professional development.*Qualifications and Requirements*- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Avionics Technology, or a related field; equivalent professional certifications and experience level (e.g., FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license, 10+ years experience) may be considered.- Minimum of 5-7 years of hands-on experience in avionics maintenance, electrical engineering, or electronics engineering, preferably in the aerospace or aviation sector.- Proven expertise in reading and interpreting schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.- Strong knowledge of aircraft electrical systems, including wiring, harnesses, and power distribution.- Proficiency with diagnostic software, tools, and equipment used in avionics troubleshooting.- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or in a team setting.- Physical ability to work in confined spaces, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform tasks at heights.- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, or on-call shifts as needed.*Preferred Skills *- Experience with modern avionics platforms; troubleshooting and installation.- Familiarity with RF (radio frequency) technologies, digital signal processing, or embedded systems.- Certification in soldering, wiring, or fiber optics for aerospace applications.- Prior experience in military aviation or commercial airline maintenance.- Strong communication skills for interfacing with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.*Physical/Work Environment:*While performing duties of job, employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls: reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
