This role plays a critical part in securing contracts and ensuring profitability by preparing competitive bids that comply with fire codes and industry standards. The estimator collaborates closely with engineers, project managers, and clients throughout the project lifecycle.*Key Responsibilities:*· Analyze project specifications, blueprints, and site conditions to develop cost estimates for fire sprinkler systems in new and existing buildings.· Prepare detailed cost breakdowns including materials, labor, and equipment.· Conduct site visits when necessary to assess project scope and feasibility.· Collaborate with design department to optimize system designs for cost efficiency.· Identify potential cost risks and propose alternative solutions to mitigate them.· Ensure all estimates comply with local fire codes, NFPA standards, and GC requirements.· Assist in bid preparation and documentation for tender submissions.· Maintain updated records.· Tracking cost performance post-award.*Qualifications:*4+ Years Experience in fire sprinkler system estimation and or Foreman level fitter experience· Strong understanding of fire protection systems, materials, and installation processes.· Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.· Strong familiarity with NFPA codes and local fire safety regulations.· Experience with manual take-off methods; AutoSprink experience is a plus but not required.· Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.· Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and clients.· Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.· Valid Drivers License with acceptable driving record· Strong analytical and mathematical skills.Job Type: Full-timePay: $60,000.00 - $120,000.00 per yearBenefits:* Dental insurance* Health insurance* Paid time off* Retirement planExperience:* Fire Sprinkler Estimating: 4 years (Preferred)* Fire Sprinkler Fitting: 6 years (Required)License/Certification:* Driver's License (Required)Work Location: Hybrid remote in Springfield, IL 62704
