In this energetic role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and related mechanical systems. Your expertise will help ensure that residential, commercial, and industrial spaces operate smoothly and efficiently. Hours are Monday thru Thursday, 7:00am-5:30pm.*Duties** Install HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems according to schematics and design specifications* Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and HVAC design plans to ensure precise installation* Conduct system testing and troubleshooting using tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment* Perform maintenance tasks on existing HVAC equipment, including appliance repair, equipment repair, and property maintenance* Assist with plumbing connections related to HVAC systems and refrigeration lines, including ammonia refrigeration setups when applicable* Weld metal components as needed for secure fittings and system integrity* Operate a vehicle safely to transport equipment and materials between job sites* Ensure compliance with safety standards such as proper welding procedures, electrical codes, and refrigerant handling protocols* Collaborate with service technicians and other tradespeople to complete projects efficiently* Document installation procedures, system specifications, and maintenance activities accurately in reports* Provide excellent field service support by diagnosing issues on-site and executing repairs promptly*Skills** Strong construction background with experience in building systems installation* Proven service technician experience in HVAC or refrigeration fields* Ability to read detailed schematics and HVAC design plans confidently* Mechanical knowledge spanning HVAC systems, plumbing, refrigeration (including ammonia refrigeration), boilers, and appliances* Hands-on experience with equipment repair, maintenance tasks, welding techniques, and boiler operation* Familiarity with HVAC/R (Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning/Refrigeration) systems and components* Experience working in property maintenance or facility management environments* Skilled in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for troubleshooting electrical issues* Valid South Dakota drivers license for safe transportation of materials and equipment* Knowledge of safety standards related to refrigerant handling (including ammonia), electrical work, welding practices, and general field service protocols* Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately and follow detailed instructions preciselyJoin us in creating comfortable environments through expert installation and maintenance!
