*Job Title: Conventional Machinist - *Engine Lathe, VTL, Radial Arm Drill/*/*Please ensure you read the below overview and requirements for this employment opportunity completely.*Summary* Steel Unlimited Inc., a steel manufacturing company in Riverside CA is NOW HIRING.*Qualifications*Minimum 8 years' work experience as a Conventional MachinistMust be able to perform machining duties in an accurate, efficient, and safe manner.Must have experience with *VTL,* *engine lathes, Vertical Turret Lathes and Radial Arm Drill presses.*Must be able to read and interpret precision measuring equipment to a high degree of accuracyMust be able to read, understand and follow blueprints to completion of the machining processMust be able to measure, mark, and scribe dimensions and reference points on material or workpiece as guides for subsequent machiningMust be able to select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as mills, lathes, jig borers, grinders, and shapersMust be able to calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cutMust be able to start and observe machine operations to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjust machine controls or control media as requiredMust be able to verify the conformance of finished workpieces to the required specificationsMust be open and willing to perform duties, not previously listed, to complete assigned tasksMust be responsible, reliable, and punctualWork hours as assigned & OvertimePerforms all other duties as assigned*Basic Skills:*Ability to speak, read, and write in the English languageSkill in detail-oriented workDemonstrate effective communication skills*Physical Requirements *This is a hands-on manufacturing role.
