If you are, this is a perfect position for you!A high number of candidates may make applications for this position, so make sure to send your CV and application through as soon as possible.*Who We Are*A successful and growing estate planning law firm located in Plano, Texas is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Associate Probate Attorney to join our team.The Associate Probate Attorney will guide clients through the complexities of the Texas Probate System, providing compassionate and efficient legal support during a difficult time. Over time, this role will expand to include a limited caseload of proactive estate planning matters, drafting essential documents such as wills, trusts, and powers of attorney.This position reports directly to the firm's Senior Attorney and will offer opportunities for professional growth and mentorship in both probate and estate planning practice areas.The composition of duties for this position is:* *70% Probate* - Represent and support clients through the Texas probate process, from application to final distribution.* *20% Estate Planning* - Draft wills, trusts, and related documents for proactive planning clients.* *10% Administrative*The first month of this position consists of in-depth training on all aspects of the firm's client service protocols and legal work product processes.*Who You Are*You're an ethical, confident, and teachable professional who is seeking to grow professionally in the area of full-service Estate Planning.*What You Bring** Motivated and able to work independently and measure success against established KPIs* High sense of client service and care* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills* Ability to communicate legal concepts to non-attorneys in everyday language* Ability to utilize standard computer software and firm databases to work efficiently* Exceptional analytical, organizational, follow-through, and problem-solving skills*Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities** Assist in probate and trust administration matters, including preparing petitions, court filings, and notices.* Draft estate planning documents including wills, revocable living trusts, powers of attorney, health care directives, and related documents.* Support clients through the estate planning and probate processes.* Collaborate with paralegals and other attorneys on case strategy and execution.* Stay current with applicable estate, tax, and probate laws and best practices.* Maintain meticulous records in our case management system and ensure timely follow-up on open matters.*Requirements** J.D. from an accredited law school.* Licensed to practice law and in good standing in Texas (or within 6 months of start date)* 1-3 years of experience in estate planning and probate experience strongly preferred.* Strong drafting skills and attention to detail.* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.* Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines independently.Commitment to providing high-quality client service with empathy and professionalism.*Compensation and Benefits** Salary 80,000 - 120,000* Excellent Benefits Package Including Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401k* 13 paid Firm holidays and 7 discretionary PTO days off in your first yearJob Type: Full-timePay: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per yearBenefits:* 401(k)* 401(k) matching* Dental insurance* Health insurance* Life insurance* Paid time off* Professional development assistance* Vision insuranceWork Location: In person
