We highly value our employees as they are the core of our ability to deliver superior quality solutions to our customers. *Our continued growth has created the need for an Electrical Design Engineer to join our Design Team.*Our *Electrical Design Engineers* perform a crucial role in our company, producing detailed electrical schematics and panel layout drawings from plans and specifications provided by customers and equipment manufacturers. Completing a full design in a thorough and detailed manner consistent with internal standards is critical to ensure efficient, high-quality purchasing, assembly, and PLC programming later in a project. To be successful, candidates should have experience with drafting, rigorous attention to detail, an aptitude for learning new equipment and design standards, and the ability to self-manage work with limited supervision.*Responsibilities and Duties** Review project plans, specifications, process and instrumentation diagrams, electrical schematics, and instrumentation documentation to confirm project scope and organize further design work.* Review Sales Team's cost estimate and compare with updated equipment costs from vendors.* Communicate with coworkers, customers, and vendors, via email, phone, and in-person meetings on site and in office.* Design hardware for motor control centers, power equipment, control panels, network equipment, and instrumentation in compliance with UL 508A / 698A, National Electric Code, and company standards.* Design interface to existing equipment and equipment provided by other suppliers.* Complete full electrical schematics, panel layout drawings, master input/output lists, and bill of materials.* Submit design package to customer; respond and make design adjustments based on customer comments.* Complete As-Built and As-Started Drawings in a timely manner to support project schedule.* Mentor and supervise junior colleagues' project work.* Other duties as assigned.*Qualifications** Exemplify In Control's Core Values:* *Radically Responsive** *Sweat the Details** *Get It Done, Together** *Focus on the Right Solution for Each Customer** *Seek Out and Share Knowledge** Experience designing control panels, interfacing control panels, and interfacing process instrumentation, to include analytical, weight, level, temperature, flow, and pressure transmitters.* Experience designing motor controls and power equipment for the water and wastewater utility or other industries.* Able to prioritize work and manage time while being mindful of purchasing lead times and project deadlines.* Advanced communication skills to support oral and written communications.* Experience drafting electrical designs using AutoCAD Electrical or equivalent software.* Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or relevant field and four years of experience in electrical and control system design.
